Creative Carnival – December 2007

(Note from Karen, Admin): I’ve made a decision. I’m tossing out the monthly themes for Creative Carnival. Why? Because no one is adhering to the theme. But more importantly, I would have had to reject FAR too many people and their wonderful writing this go-around. And it dawned on me that the CC is about more than following rules or prompts, it’s about showcasing various forms of writing and that, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly what we’re going to do. So, from this point on, no themes. Write what you want. I only have two requests: keep it PG-rated (or it will be rejected), and no marketing ploys thinly disguised as creative writing. Otherwise, let the creative flow commence.
Welcome to the December 2007 Creative Carnival edition!
What is this? It’s a chance to compile some great articles around the blog-o-sphere showcasing all sorts of writing. If you need to know more, or would like to submit an article for the next Creative Carnival, read this.
So, without further ado, grab a cup o’ joe, kick off your shoes and sit a spell, there’s lots of interesting reading just a click away.

Karen: I think this is an excellent idea. Wish I had known . . . I would have sent you something for this month. However, I will definitely be participating in January!
thanks for including my “soup oracle” poem in this carnival.
I run a carnival on my blog, and I enjoy having themes, but usually get a lot of unrelated submissions. The way I handle it is that the themed articles are linked at the beginning of the carnival post and then I continue on with the rest of the submissions.
The first few articles are usually the most viewed so there is a reward for sticking with the theme, but I also don’t have to throw out all the other wonderful submissions I get. Just a suggestion from one blogger to another.
Thanks Sunny! Excellent suggestion.
Wow! Thank you for including me in this awesome list. Now to bloghop over to the other links!
Thanks for including my post! I’m leisurely reading through this carnival you’ve collected – fun articles.
