So tell me writers – what sort of writing excuses have you come up with lately?
Me? I can’t write right now because … I have to clean the lint from my belly button. (Hey, it’s winter. It builds up. Hush).

The house is a mess and needs to be cleaned before I can write (cluttered workspace, cluttered mind). When that’s done, there’s the leaves to rake that didn’t get raked in the fall because I was, in fact, writing.
These are just the legitimate excuses. I’ve got plenty that are less legit…
It’s too cold outside and I just don’t want to.

I really have to get through all seasons of Lost again before the last one starts. Well…not so much “have to” as want to.
My characters went on strike.

I’m busy doing admin – but there will be time to write (apparently) when that’s sorted out.
I have an appointment with a box of Cheezels and a cup of tea.
I’ve got it in my mind that tomorrow is going to be the day when the ideas flow! Today I can stare into space.
