Special Post: Writing Challenge

February 21, 2009

This is a sticky post, please scroll down for current articles.

From Writer’s Digest:

Every other month, Writer’s Digest presents a creative challenge for fun and prizes. We’ll provide a short, open-ended prompt. In turn, you’ll submit a short story of 750 words or fewer based on that prompt. You can be funny, poignant, witty, etc.; it is, after all, your story. The winner will receive publication in an upcoming issue of Writer’s Digest.

The Your Story prompt: A 20-something man sits in a taxi in front of his parent’s house, trying to find the strength to tell them that he (fill in the blank).

Submit before March 10, 2009. For complete rules and guidelines, read this page.

This is an example of Write Anything’s “new” (upcoming) format. Write more, talk less.

If you submitted to WD’s challenge, please leave us a comment so we can cheer you on! Good luck!!

‘Write more, talk less!’ I might get a tattoo of that. Although do believe that writers should get together and bounce ideas around. Sometimes writers don’t talk enough! Great site, by the way.
