Fiction Friday

[Fiction] Friday Challenge for October 16th, 2009:

Your character finds a mysterious package on his/her doorstep. What’s inside?

How Fiction Friday works

Fiction Friday is easy to do.

  • Every Thursday, just check this page for this week’s theme or challenge.
  • Spend at least 5 minutes composing something original based on the theme or challenge.
  • But, remember, no editing. This is to inspire creativity not stifle it.
  • On Friday, simply post what you wrote to your own blog.
  • Then come back to Write Anything and leave the link in the comment section below.

If you’re participating in the Write Anything meme, please leave a link to your entry below. (If you’re not participating, please don’t leave a link. People who aren’t playing will be removed). Please don’t forget to leave us a comment in addition to leaving a link!

You might also like to Tweet links from this site as they are posted.

Trying to get back into the groove of writing… it was a bit of a struggle, this entry took 2 hours of plodding along, but hey, it’s a start🙂

p/s: Nik – love your piece! all the thoughts going through your character’s head were similar to what I wanted going through mine, but that somehow didn’t make it into the typed word. I enjoyed the punchline too – live long and prosper! 🙂

i still suspect short stories aren’t really my thing, and this one hasn’t any twists, but hopefully it is at least an entertaining read. Think Halloween for October. It’s posted at http://enexplorations.blogspot.com/ my new blog, along with another entry to my ongoing science fiction novel.

Why have I been forgetting about this opportunity? Sheesh. I wrote something just now (not too late, I hope), and it’s at The Turtle.

When in doubt – ask the Captain to visit…… a long over due update on a subplot in our Captain Juan Series.

Thanks, Willow, glad you liked it! If the thoughts are in your head, they’ll make it out through the keyboard with a little practice, I’m sure :-} Hmmm … the name Willow … “Buffy” fan? If so, I am, too.

Don’t feel alone niki I also have three little peeps who ask more or less the same question, But, I never let them bother me to much cause if i did I wouldn’t be writing this post right now. Just keep up the good work your doing just fine. Something tells me you’ll soon be published too believe me it’s true ..
