Fiction Friday

[Fiction] Friday Challenge #157 for May 28, 2010

A writer’s computer begins to flash messages on its screen, as if trying to communicate.

How Fiction Friday works

Fiction Friday is easy to do.

  • Check this page for this week’s theme or challenge. Prompts are published each month to give you plenty of notice.
  • Spend at least 5 minutes composing something original based on the theme or challenge.
  • But, remember, no editing. This is to inspire creativity not stifle it.
  • On Friday, simply post what you wrote to your own blog.
  • Then come back to Write Anything and leave the link in the comment section below.

If you’re participating in the Write Anything meme, please leave a link to your entry below. (If you’re not participating, please don’t leave a link. People who aren’t playing will be removed). Please don’t forget to leave us a comment in addition to leaving a link!

You might also like to Tweet links from this site as they are posted – and don’t forget to use our hashtag of #fictionfriday

I enjoyed this one but had some problems toward the end. Give me some feed back.

This one was fun & I actually managed to finish it early. Can’t wait to see what everyone does with this lead.

Had in my mind an EPIC idea that was sci-fi/satire/penetrating insight/literary rule breaking and very funny. But didn’t have a Hermione Granger Time Spinner for the necessary time to get it finished. The idea is there in the background and I might work on it some other time.
Instead I went with something a little more rustic and familiar.

I must be in a funk or something because I just couldn’t get motivated with this prompt. When I sat down to begin writing I just couldn’t get more than a couple of ideas out before loosing interest. I managed to flush something out this morning that I think I could get excited about with some polishing and a couple alterations.

I know I’m way too late posting my link to this (I wrote it last week but was on holiday over the weekend), but just in case anyone stops by again, my story’s here – http://newtowritinggirl.wordpress.com/2010/05/25/fiction-friday-28th-may/
