Fiction Friday

[Fiction] Friday Challenge #159 for June 11th, 2010

Include this in your story: “I wish he’d knock on my door instead……..”

How Fiction Friday works

Fiction Friday is easy to do.

  • Check this page for this week’s theme or challenge. Prompts are published each month to give you plenty of notice.
  • Spend at least 5 minutes composing something original based on the theme or challenge.
  • But, remember, no editing. This is to inspire creativity not stifle it.
  • On Friday, simply post what you wrote to your own blog.
  • Then come back to Write Anything and leave the link in the comment section below.

If you’re participating in the Write Anything meme, please leave a link to your entry below. (If you’re not participating, please don’t leave a link. People who aren’t playing will be removed). Please don’t forget to leave us a comment in addition to leaving a link!

You might also like to Tweet links from this site as they are posted – and don’t forget to use our hashtag of #fictionfriday

I had a little trouble getting started on this prompt. I couldn’t get the idea of a love triangle out of my head. With much effort, I was finally able to land on something not too cliche, I hope.

This one gave me some trouble. I knew what I wanted but couldn’t seem to bring it together. I wanted the prompt to have 2 different meanings.

Great prompt! I had a lot of fun with this one.

I went down the pretty predicatable route. Hope it’s enjoyable regardless.

After a couple of weeks of short pieces, this one top the charts at roughly 1,400 words. I started with a basic idea, then the story started going its own way. This week was fun and I look forward to reading what everyone else came up with.

This is my first time participating in Fiction Friday. Although my entry is a little short (I’ll call it flash fiction), this was fun.

I just discovered you yesterday. This was so much fun! (Although the prompt did cause some sort of weird college dorm flashback.) Thanks!

Well – this came about after some sticky hands on a leather hand bag at my son’s birthday party Thursday, memories of bread and butter pudding and life on a cruise ship when I was much younger.

    I hope everyone likes it.
