Audio Boo For Writers

June 29, 2010

Welcome to Write Anything’s first Audio Boo.

Dale foolishly left his desk open today – so Annie and Jodi have snuck in to steal his stationary, write notes on his yellow sticky pad, lower his chair… and chat about why YOU as a writer need to check out Audio Boo.

Listen to part one recorded by Annie and part two recorded by Jodi.

Annie Evett is trying to get over her accent and stop wishing she had a really cool one – like Russian, or thick Irish brogue instead of her ikk Aussie one…Follow Annie’s shameless self promotions here on Twitter  or here on Audio Boo and start your escape into her world here
Jodi Cleghorn still can’t believe she’s taken the Audioboo challenge and is loving it – given bad experiences at highschool with recording equipment. Who thought she’d ever be so impressed witht the sound of her own voice. Listen to more of Jodi’s boos or follow her  musings at Writing in Black and White.

I so want to do this. I can’t get an iphone where I live (thanks at&t) and Android isn’t available for a few more months. *side note: I really should move* And for the life of me I can’t find my stupid headset. But as soon as I conquer these minor annoyances I’ll be joining you.

In the mean time I’ve been thoroughly enjoying listening to both of you these past few days. I can really see how Audioboo(ing) could be a valuable tool.

    Boo for you!
Sounds great and the accents are awesome (go Straya!), but like you I hate the sound of my own voice (that’s why I could never be a singer) and wish for a great Irish or Scottish accent.
Can see great possibilities for writers to share with their audiences, making it more intimate for readers and listeners. It’s great to put a voice to the face/avatar. The funny thing is, as a teacher, I loathe and detest the idea of public speaking. Go figure.
More mediums to communicate and have fun with.

And something I’ve been looking for. Bravo ladies. I’m really looking forward to hearing more Boos. And my gosh, you two sound adorable.

You’ve inspired me to start a Boo account.

    Thanks again!

This AudioBoo thing is so exciting and really catching on. I can’t wait to see what other things WA do with the medium.
