Back on into it folks

January 3, 2011

Our last Friday Fiction for 2010 followed a time honoured tradition here at Write Anything – a bit of fun and frivolity, poking fun at New Years Resolutions as well as an exercise in just writing.  It was gratifying to see some of our ‘old’ regulars poke their noses in and contribute – as well as welcoming our shyer new comers into the fun.  If you haven’t done your NYR yet, why not try some Anti-Resolutions instead – and head on over to last weeks FF?  Its not too late.

However, if one of your more serious resolutions is – in fact to write.. more…well.. consistently…. here is the space to announce it and gather a supportive group of like minded emerging writers who can share your journey. The last two days have had two favourite posts which look at gathering a supportive group and the life of a writer. Perhaps they will assist you in deciding where your next step is….

Pop a comment below and let us know what your top goal is in your writing journey is this year?  what help do you need?  Who do you want to take with you along the way?  What is it that you need to learn to get you there?

2011 is going to be one of changes and excitement – especially for us at Write Anything. We look forward to seeing you in our new glamed out site and features; as well as sharing your successes along the way.

I also enjoy writing the flash fiction pieces. Having a deadline seems to work really well for me. The only problem is that this only works when it’s someone else’s deadline. I can’t seem to trick myself into following my own deadlines. I suppose a little (okay a lot) more determination and commitment would get me out of just blogging “kernels” of stories and spur me on to working on that novel I started . . . then stopped . . . then started . . . then . . . well you get the picture.
