    My first time baking chocolate chip cookies. I tried to make those “Pan Cookies” and they stuck to the pan for two weeks! Yes, it soaked in soapy water for two weeks, every day I chipped away at them a little more.

    Problem: I used too much sugar. Why? This is when I found out I had Dyslexia! I had transposed one line into the next. Instead of 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of flour, I saw 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of flour!

    Solution: E.T. Home Phone! (Yes, that was his original quote. GURDY said “E.T. Phone Home”…a little trivia for you movie goers.) Basically, I needed to use my finger to point at the ingredients one line at a time and do a lot of double-checking and reading aloud.

    Now…I’m a great cook! 😉
